    D'n'B/Dubstep thread

Wondering if we have any fans on here? I'm relatively new to it so thought it'd be good to share a few thoughts with others on what they're into

Hospital records is one of my favourite drum and bass labels. You'll find an artist called Nu:tone on there who is excellent. Along with a few others like 'high contrast'.

    Check it out.

    Not forgetting London Elektricity!!

I love Drum and Bass, I have some great albums at home.

Have you got the John B Trance and Bass Mixmag CD, that was immense!!

Yeah quite a few decent artists there. London Elektricity, Logistics and Commix. Met one of the guys from Commix when he did a set at my uni, wqas funny to see all the d'n'b heads sucking up to him even when he was playing Cyndi Lauper on youtube

Personally my favourite d'n'b DJs are Andy C and DJ Marky, they closed up at Glade Festival this year and it was just tooooooo sick!

I like drum and bass a lot, I've grown up with it while attending raves here in the States. I like the darker dnb but I do enjoy a lot of atmospheric stuff from LTJ Bukem, especially when he plays with MC Conrad, quality stuff.
I can't say I'm a big dub step fan, I'm just not feeling it. It's way too slow for me, it just seems that all of the electronic music genres declined in tempo within the last 4 years, what some call it progression in the entire EDM genre. I don't know about that.
Being a massive techno freak, I've had a real hard time adjusting to the new techno sound, actually just about 6 months ago I started buying the new sounding techno and playing it on my Traktor Scratch but I do have to admit that I really like mixing the new stuff.

Not too into techno much tbh, there was a lot of it at Glade festival and little D'n'B, though I must admit Adam Beyer was pretty good. Bukem wasn't bad either

I've downloaded Beyer's mix from Glade, it's fantastic and I'm banging it in my car for the past week. Glad to see people diggin' electronic music on this board.

you say drum n base, do you mean the original stuff that i used to go in the early 90's like helta skelter @ MK & United Dance @ Stevenage?

or have they brought out new stuff

it was good back then as drugs were cheap and jungle was 1 tiny room and no one went in there

Metalheadz or Roni Size? Rings a bell? I've heard a lot of good things about the dnb parties in the UK back in the day.

Nafe, very dark stuff there, thats would be about 4am - 5am stuff when they are winding down

i prefer the around midnight stuff when they are trying to give everyone a heart attack with 5 billion BPM

It has to be one of my favorite Roni Size tracks. Classic.
