    Abooooooooooooou

    ... Diaby

Looked good on his return, has the Vieira presence but still a bit short on technique but IMO worthy of a starting place in the midfield possibly in front of Gilberto.

    Agree/disagree?

I think him and fabregas could make an excellent midfield pairing...diaby is more creative and can get forward better than gilberto, so id like to see them together as long as gilberto is covering in defence...better option than flamini imo

I think they all bring something different to the table, and its vitally important to have a few players to rely on. Look at liverpool with the likes of Gerrard, Sisoko, Alonso, Mascherano, Lucas all vying for a couple of spots. We have Cesc, Gilberto, Diaby, Flamini, Denilson and errr Song. I think Diaby will continue to play more games, especially in cups etc and continue to learn from the likes of Gilberto

Still a little bit too sloppy for my liking, wouldn't put him in the team ahead of Gilberto as he doesn't have the defensive skill.

Certainly looking good and we need to remember he is a year behind the rest of the squad having been out for so long with injury.

In a DM role , he has potential.
Agree he is very sloppy , last night he gave away the ball about 4 times , trying to turn players , delaying passing the ball etc.
I also counted one lazy pass to Clichy , where against Sparta , Clichy could have had a serious injury , trying to reach the ball first.
He doesn't fit into the fluid attacking of Arsenal.
Definately Needs more work , for me.

But still looked unstoppable at times. No way would I put him in ahead of Gilberto yet but he is the future replacement.

Good to bring on if we need a bit of drive in midfield but I think his performance last night was well short of the standard we want in that position. Looked a bit dozy at times and didnt create enough. Once Cesc was brought on you could tell the difference straight away.

His passing was well off yesterday.

Diaby isn't that defensive compared to Gilberto which is why Gilberto/Cesc partnership is so well balanced.

Last night wasn't a patch on what he can do. 1st game back and looked a bit rusty, but I'm sure anyone who has seen him play knows how good he can be.

I think let him play a number of games proberly 2nd choice to Gilberto but then next season push him as first choice to add some strength to our midfield

I really like Diaby, him and Cesc are definatley the future midfield partnership. Still a work in progress, just hope he can stay injury free, he seems to be prone to injury.
Agree last night was not his best, put it down to lack of games.

Could, i repeat could turn out better than his look a like PV

No way should he replace Gilberto. Awful idea, he is no way near ready to take the place of a proven international captain
