Theo joined Arsenal in the winter transfer window of 2006, he is one of the quickest players in the country & was called up for the 2006 World Cup but did not play. Theo is the youngest person to ever play & to score a hat trick for England.

Decided to start a thread on Theo.

According to wenger this season is vital for Theo to improve and cement a place in the team. I think Theo has improved alot as shown in the sparta game by assisting a great goal and i believe he can become a great player for the club too.

I just hope Wenger dont let him go as he believes that players should be finding there form when they reach 18 up to 20yrs old.

The only problem is that Wenger would have to drop a player to accomdate him into the team.

Still has a poor final ball on far too many occasions. And still looks like a boy out on the pitch, needs to bulk up a lot, he seems to get pushed off of the ball far too much.
Still, it will come I hope.

Would love to see him in the CC.Which is why, i'd want us to advance as far as possible.Still don't think he's anywhere closed to the finished article,but from what i've read and seen, he definitely has the potential to become a class player.

I'm starting to think that he won't make in at Arsenal.

Before people start slagging me off with the whole, he's only 19 thing. Fabregas was making lots of starts at 17. He was a permanent fixture 2 seasons back. Theo isn't even pushing for a place.

I hope he can prove me wrong but I just have a feeling in my water.

Agree to an extent with Thomas89, doesn't seem to have as much impact as you might have expected. He really needs to step up if he wants to succeed, yes he is only 17 but he will be measured against the other players of a similar age at the club and on that at the moment he is way behind for me in that regard.

But whats wrong with that, Cesc might be special but he is just an illustration of the talent that is available in the world. As good or bad as Theo might become why not measure him against the pinnicle of players for his age.

Can't compare Theo with Cesc imo. Two different players. Cesc is just a one off talent and we can't expect other players to excert themselves on the first team like he did.
I've seen glipse's of Theo and he's played pretty well. He needs to start performing when given starts though. Very good player though and i fully expect him to do well this season.

I'm not sure what position Wenger is trying to play him. I know we've seen him play alot down the right wing but Wenger might see a better suited position for him. His age is an issue and I think Wenger is at an experimental stage with Theo.

Also, its a tricky position to break through to (right wing). With the likes of Rosicky in line it will be hard to break through. I still think theres alot more to see of him, hes definitely got talent and is worthy enough to be in a growing Arsenal squad.
