This is the sort of signing that would appease the shit out of me, I rate him. He's strong, he's proven and he can play.

Doubt our interest will proceed beyond the enquiry stage though. He'll be roughly valued in the £20m range which rules us out.

In any case, we won't move for any strikers unless Bendtner, Chamakh and Park are all moved on.

Would love us to make a 20m bid for Dzeko or Jovetic etc. Just cant see it happening. If theres anything in this I expect it to be a quiet enquiry. Don't think Wenger will want last days of transer window to be about us trying / failing to sign a quality forward. Won't exactly lower the pressure, even if some of it is overstated, on Giroud and Poldi.

If you ask me, I do not see Arsene breaking Arsenal's (or his aswell) transfer record ever.

Meh. Doesn't do it for me, been very disappointed with him, post-Wolfsburg.
A traditional Wenger supporter that finally lost patience after the League Cup debacle vs Bradford, 11/12/12

I no longer believe with enough conviction that:-

    - Wenger believes in his players enough to motivate them
    - The players believe in Wenger enough to be motivated by him

and for these two reasons alone, it's time to say thanks for the wonderful memories Arsene but let us part ways in the summer.

I'd take him immediately.Strong, physical and quite technical, plus he already has a good experience in the Premier League. The last thing thing would allow Giroud to have more time to adapt to our football.
    Bosscielny is back

He scores goals drifting in and out of City, he'd be an excellent signing. Which is exactly why City wouldn't let him join us in a million years.

Stranger things have happened and they DO need to lighten their wage bill!

I would take him, he's played well whenever Man City have used him but he doesn't get many games because they have loads of good strikers. They sold Adebayor to Spurs for cheap so we might be able to get him cheap as well. But the only problem is that we are signing someone who is not good enough for Man City, which is quite embarrassing but he would improve our team and we need a striker
