    Marouane Chamakh (29)

Chamakh eyes move to Arsenal or Spurs

Bordeaux forward Marouane Chamakh has revealed his desire to move to the Premier League, with north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham his preferred destinations.
The 24-year-old Morocco international has impressed with Les Girondins this season, and was again in fine form during his side's 2-1 win over Cluj in the Champions League this week.
His contract with the Ligue 1 runners-up is set to expire at the end of next season, and with no extension currently on the table, his sights are firmly set on the English capital.
"I will reach the end of my contract in 2010. I haven't met any officials yet. I am open to Bordeaux or anything else,'' he told L'Equipe. "In principle, I will not leave for another French club. My objective if I have to leave Les Girondins is to go abroad, preferably to England.
"Let's wait for the end of the current season to see if we will play in the Champions League and if the coach (Laurent Blanc) will stay.
"A London club is always exciting. I really like Arsenal, but a club like Tottenham would be magnificent for me too. It all depends on the circumstances.''
Bordeaux are still in the hunt to qualify for the knockout stage of this season's Champions League after back-to-back wins over Romanian side Cluj.
Chelsea are up next in Group A, but while only a point separates the two sides in the standings Chamakh does not foresee his team overtaking the Londoners in the group.
However, he still warned Luiz Felipe Scolari's men they will face a different Bordeaux in France to the one which collapsed to a 4-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge two months ago.
"Our team doesn't want to give up on the Champions League,'' he continued. "Chelsea are probably the best team in the group, but we can be compared to Cluj or Roma. We can get that second position. I give us a 50% chance of getting through.
"What we experienced at Chelsea has been noticed, believe me. We didn't play there, we were scared. It was not us, we played like kids. I have never dared to watch the video of the match again.
"After that game, the Chelsea players said we will finish the group in bottom position. We remember that. When they come to Bordeaux, they will see the real us. We will come out on to the pitch to win, we will remember the first leg.
"In their home they are great, but away from home it is different.''

Yes!! I said about him YEARS ago on this forum I think. But this is one I would LOVE to sign. He's very good. I would LOVE to sign him, seriously. This is my number one Moroccan player!! He is better then Hadji, Zairi, Sektioui, Alloudi.. (in the current squad.. but Zairi is dropped).

This is a signing that I would genuinely love to sign.
The Italian national football team has won the FIFA World Cup 4 times (1934, 1938, 1982, and 2006), trailing only Brazil (with 5). Italy's club sides have won 27 major European trophies, making them the most successful Europian nation in the subject of football.

tbh, since African cup in Ghana, Chamakh gave poor performance with national team
also, He has lost his place in Bordeaux squad.

Alloudi is much better than him. imo, he is no. 1 in Morocco, at least in 2008

    btw, we don't need CF.

He was best in African Cup in Tunisia. But I think a lot of players are playing poor for national team. Alloudi was good in the African cup aswell and I like him a lot. He hasn't lost his place in Bordeaux though, he plays regularly.

We don't need CF you're right, but I would love Chamakh.

It's hard to imagine not winning anything if everybody was at Arsenal. Though the season would be boring as hell.
"It is weird to see it from the side because you used to be there but it is nice to see Arsenal play football now. I hope they win everything - well not everything! But as an Arsenal fan, I have to say they are going to win the Premier League."

Nope. I don't believe that Landreau and Chamakh are everybody

I disagree, I think he's a good player. Spent to long at Bordeaux though, unfortunately.
