Ramsey Signs....Nasri to Follow?

Aaron Ramsey

Cardiff City teenager Aaron Ramsey has completed his £5m move to Arsenal.

Champions League winners Manchester United and Premier League giants Everton were also in the hunt for the 17-year-old Welsh prodigy.

But Ramsey has signed a long-term deal at Arsenal after they flew him to Switzerland for face-to-face talks with boss Arsene Wenger at Euro 2008.

"He was a big factor in my decision to join Arsenal," said Ramsey. "I'm so happy to have signed for Arsenal."

Known as "Rambo", Ramsey progressed through the youth ranks at Cardiff City.

Samir Nasri

Rumour has it, that Arsenal have won the race to sign France midfielder Samir Nasri from Marseille.

The 20-year-old, who has been dubbed the new Zinedine Zidane, has reportedly agreed a four-year contract and will join after Euro 2008.

Nasri, who has made two appearances at this summer's European Championship, has spent the last four seasons with the French side.

He came to prominence in France's U-17 European Championship side in 2004.

Online Arsenal To Close...

It is with great sadness, that we have to announce the imminent closure of Online Arsenal.com

On January 1st 2008 OA received notice from Legal representatives of Mr Edward (Teddy) Sheringham.

They had noted numerous comments on the site relating to their client, and had considered many of them to be subject to libel and defemation of character.

Considering this action to be overly heavy handed and completely unreasonable, not to mention beyond the statute of limitations (as some of the comments were over 4 years old ) OA decided to stand firm and Fight the good fight on behalf of all our members.

This we have done over the last 3 months, with countless solicitors letters (and Fees!) between the two parties, and even warnings from our own Hosting site, who so far have been excellent in keeping us open during these events.

Unfortunately our finances are not on a par with Mr Sheringham and as such our legal advisors have suggested that to continue fighting this action is very much beyond our means, and with heavy heart and massive regret, we have had to face facts and accept this situation.

We have been given an option to either close the site completely, or face extreme financial difficulties defending our case further.  Unfortuantely we have had to decide to close OA to prevent further legal and financial losses.

As part of the agreement to cease legal procedings, we also have to apologise to Mr Sheringham for any harm caused by our numerous false comments.

As such, at Midnight on Thursday 3rd April 2008, OA will be removed from its hosting service, and will not return.

Its been a great 5 year run, and we would like to thank all our loyal members for making this site what it is.

Keep The Faith.....Arsenal for the Premiership...and Moscow here we come!
