Disappointing to have all that possession away from home and only test the keeper a few times
Wasnt expecting us to get anything yesterday but lets at least make them work to get their goals. Some terrible defending for both goals. Thought we would of learnt by now
Played well 2nd half without really threatening a goal. Great up till the edge of the box but then nothing. We cant cross a ball and even when we get a cross right we have players of 5'4 and they are never going to win a header against Terry or Carvalho
On to wedesday now and a must win game really
Oh and well done to the travelling gooners. Great as always

Cech pretty much nailed it.
"We wanted to do our job. We knew the way Arsenal play. We could see it in our first game against them and against United - it is always the same style.
"If you play tactics like we did, you can beat them.

Pundits were saying that too, that we always play in the same fashion. We need to be unpredictable once in a while.

Ofcourse, we have no sympathy for him cause we blame him for all this, but do we even know if that really is the case? I don't. Sounds really strange that a man of Wenger's intelligence will choose not to fix a few of our perennial problems, season after season, transfer window after transfer window. And why? Does he foolishly hope that it will resolve itself Or does he think we will win despite of our problems? I just have feeling he has one hand tied behind his back, working with a very limited budget and trying to make the best of what he has. Thats the only logical explanation I can think of. That is also why he is so heavily investing in youth.
Having said that, if we continue without trophies year after year, we might find it difficult to fill a 60,000+ stadium, with the highest ticket price in the land.

Great post, especially the first part. He makes himself look foolish to cover up something wrong with how the club is run and he needs some respect for doing so.
We're so poorly funded in comparison to some others that he does what he can with limited resources and still does better - at least so far - than the Tottenhams and Man Citys of this world.

Arsenal Football Club is open to receive applications for the position of TEAM MANAGER. He must be experienced and possess the highest qualifications for the post, both as to ability and personal character. Gentlemen whose sole ability to build up a good side depends on the payment of heavy and exhorbitant [sic] transfer fees need not apply.

I think the most worrying thing for us now is the fact other teams know what it takes to beat us.
Ferguson and Ancelotti both got their tactics spot on - soak up the pressure and hit them on the counter. We used to do this so well but these days we look so fragile.
We need to develop a plan B and pretty soonish.

I think it takes more than knowing how to beat us, to beat us. Knowing is one thing, to be able to pull it off, is quite another, which is why only the best in the league are able to beat us more consistently. So, I don't think we need to worry. Just think, if we could add a striker like Torres and sort out our defending, especially against set pieces, we will not have to worry about other team's plans cause we will be quite irresistible ourselves.
