FA Cup 5th Round Draw

Quote:
Wolverhampton Wanderers or Crystal Palace v Aston Villa
Manchester City v Stoke City
Derby County v Birmingham City
Bolton Wanderers v Tottenham Hotspur or Leeds United
Chelsea v Cardiff City
Fulham v Notts County or Wigan Athletic
Reading v West Bromwich Albion
Southampton v Portsmouth
Stand out tie I think has to be Southampton v Portsmouth.

Rather glad now we did get knocked out, I wouldn't have fancied an away tie at Man City at all.

No, what I was suggesting that had we had to play them, this would've come after Liverpool, which would've made it 5 hards games in a row with hardly any breaks. Given how Wenger tried to field a team which involved mostly youngsters than our first team, the same would've happened there, given Porto would've been a few days after.

Also we've lost twice there this season, the 2nd game we tried to get away with an under strengthed team, quite frankly I would've hated having to play them again at a time when we have far more important games to deal with, this would've been another inconvience.

Sounds like a reasonable reason for me to be relieved we don't have to deal with a game like that, don't you think?

I'd have enjoyed a crack at City.

Aside from that, Southampton/Pompey should be interesting.

Notts County currently on course to join round 5, currently beating Wigan away in the replay 1-0!

Edit: Now 2-0

Proper cup upset.

The South coast game has gone a bit mental. Pompey took the lead, Southampton quickly responded, now Pompey have scored again.

3-1 Pompey, off to the quarters for them, a nice plus in a dire season for them.
