It has been a while since I posted anything on my blog here so thought with the World Cup less than 24 hours away it was the perfect time to put up my latest musings. Much has been made about the temperament of Wayne Rooney so I was shocked this morning to read comments from the USA coach Bob Bradley claiming his players will not try to win up the forward. If I was an opposition manager and had seen how Rooney lost his rag in the warm up game, in addition to have previous misdeameanours, I would...

Stuck between two battles

Its not long to go until the Grand National 2010 and I am getting more and more excited about it as the days tick by. It wont be long until offices across the country have their sweepstake pack out and people are trading Grand National Tips like there is no tomorrow. Personally, I have already made my choice and have my ticket for Aintree in hand. Its going to be an awesome weekend which will be made even better when King Johns Castle romps home and wins me some big money.

Following on from my look last time at the prospects of Kevin Davies making it into England's World Cup squad I have now decided to look at the chances of Ashley Yong. A year ago Young looked a certainty to make the step up onto the international stage after impressive performances for Villa, but he seems to have failed to live up to that this campaign. But he could be useful in a position where David Beckham is out and Aaron Lennon is struggling with injury. I reckon it is between James Milner,...
