  1. Motivation

On the 7th November last year I posted my most recent blog entry. I have to say I didn't think it had been so long, but the rigours of study and employment are weighing heavy at this point of my degree and absolutely anything unconnected to those two endeavors has found itself pushed very much to the back burner of my efforts. Between my last blog and this one a lot has changed, but notably quite a lot hasn't.

I wrote last time on how disillusioned I felt about the predictability of

  2. State Of The Nation

For the more eagle-eyed amongst you, you will notice this is my first entry in quite some time. 5. Stoke City 0-0 Arsenal: Bould Gunners Secure A Point

So, here we are two matches into the new league season, or two and a half hours of football played if you prefer and there have been no goals. It's something of a glass half empty/full situation I suppose. On the one hand, we haven't won any games or scored any goals and we haven't looked at our creative best. On the other, we haven't lost or conceded and our defensive play is looking pretty solid and assured.

I have to say I'm very much on the latter side of that spectrum. The ...
